Plans are meant to be broken!

So, things have been a bit crazy lately, so I decided to go to Boise to visit my sister Angela and family. She wrote a musical production for Relief Society that they were performing for Enrichment Meeting. Way to go Angela! Hyrum and I got packed up and ready to go . . . then came two teeth. Two little teeth cut through the skin and that means no sleep! You can barely even see them yet, but you can feel them a little bit on his bottom gums. I'm very glad to reach this new milestone in his little life, but was sad to miss the 'getaway' to Boise. Instead I went to see my other sister, Holly, in Layton area and my mom. Holly just had a little baby. His name is Joshua and he's a cute cousin addition to the family! It was great visiting with the Momma too. So, the plans changed, but it was still fun. Hyrum has been such a monkey lately. He's crawling a little bit, but we can never catch it on the camera. Another thing he just started is the 'crazy man run'. He does it sometimes when we change his diaper or try to get him dressed. He rolls around, sits up, bounces around, kicks, waives his arms, and does ANYTHING to get out of whatever situation he's in. He thinks it's funny when we try and pull him back. Even though it makes diaper time difficult, I can't help but smile. He's just such a mini-stud!

How in the world did this happen?!?

Ok, so at first I thought something must have gone wrong in taking the test. So I took the test again. I even answered half of the questions differently. But oh well, I guess I'll start wearing a skirt and blouse to work (actually that would get me kicked out of BYU, so I won't) :)

GO BYU!!!

Back to Back! Football and Basketball Conference Champions two years in a row! BYU owns the Mountain West Conference!!! Bring on March Madness!!! This is the first time any MWC team has won Back to Back championships in Basketball. Also, (assuming we beat TCU this weekend) it will be the first BYU Basketball team to end the season with 25 wins. GO COUGARS!

A Tag for You

So, I got tagged back in November and at that point I just didn't want to do it. (I know I'm a party pooper). But Brett was reading a few other peoples tag's and wondering why I had never done one, so here it goes about 4 months late:

List 6 facts or habbits that you have:

1. I cut and color peoples hair in my mind. It's a very strange habbit, but I guess it just comes along with the career. It's really bad when I'm sitting behind a lot of people, because I can't help but pick out a few heads and figure out exactly what I would do with their hair to make them look beautiful. It can be distracting sometimes.

2. I have a great memory for details. I could tell you the whole life story of dozens of people that I've met once. I remember conversations from years ago. I used to be able to memories full movies(that skill's fading though). I can remember weird facts I learned in 3rd grade. . .the only problem is that I don't remember the basics. It stunk in school, because I'd remember everyword the teacher said and stories they'd tell, but not the what, why, and when, and that's usually what's important. Basically, I store loads of useless information.

3. Everynight I do the exact same routine to get ready for bed. I never thought much of it, until an old roomate told me that she felt like she watched the same re-run everynight. First the right contact, then the left. Then I wash my face, floss, brush, blow my nose, and then end the evening with moisturizer. If I'm super tired than I'll skip the floss, but other then that I am a broken record.

4. When I was 11 I was thrown off and stepped on by an elephant. It was Thanksgiving Day and the only thing I had eaten was a doughnut. I ended up spending a couple weeks in the hospital and was not able to be off bed rest until after Christmas break. Oh, and by 'elephant' I really mean a big Horse named Red. . . but it made the story a lot more interesting.

5. Some people crack their nuckles constantly, but I crack my toes. It's weird, but I can't crack the habbit(no pun intended).

6. In High School I used to do Mary Katherine Gallagher (aka Superstar) impressions. I had the outfit and everything. I would watch SNL and practice her acts. After a few years of not doing it I lost the skills, sorry no re-enactments. I'm trying to quit.

Bath Time

This video is about a month old, but I was watching some of the videos and I though it was so stinkin' cute. When your older bath time is just never this exciting. (Watch for his thumb's up when he first stops kicking-right hand)

Well everyone, it's not often that I put an entry in the blog, this has been pretty much all Stephanie's doing! And true to her nature, she does a great job (I'm particularly impressed with the technical issues she's "debugged" on her own, even digging through cryptic HTML code by herself at times). Anyway, another chapter of our lives is about to begin. I will be graduating this April with a BS in Computer Science, and I just received this letter today.



That's right, I've officially been admitted into the Graduate Studies program at BYU. Stephanie and I are very grateful to all of you who have had an influence in our lives (and continue to do so). We are excited for this new opportunity and the doors that it may open. I have already been working for 8 months with Dr. Dan Olsen (who will be my adviser in grad school). The plan is to complete my Master's Thesis by the end of this summer and finish all of my course work by next April! After that, it's off to Sunny Arizona where we plan to thaw out :)

We feel that we have been extremely blessed in our marriage and family life! We have been given many opportunities to serve those around us and have developed many powerful friendships! We thank the Lord each day for our blessings, and are glad to share in the joys of life with each of you!
