Ward Campout

One great blessing of living here is that great campsites are only a 5-15 minute drive away. We had a ward campout this last weekend that was so much fun. Lots of great food, fun people, and of course freezing cold water to canoe in. We all went up Friday night for dinner and activities after. Brett rocked at volleyball and Noah decided to be very independent on a jungle jim and would scream at me if he felt my hand spotting him. Hyrum loved exploring what he kept calling the "The spooky forest". Noah and I headed back home at 9pm so that the whole ward wouldn't have to deal with his teething. Brett and Hyrum set up camp and got to sleep in the tent. Brett tells me that Hyrum loved every minute of it and had a hard time settling down at night because he was too excited, but once he finally laid down he was out fast. Noah and I drove back up at 7am on Saturday. . .everyone just assumed we camped over night because we were there late and early (this is a great way to get out of camping if you don't want to go:) Anyway, we all had a lot of fun, and also some great naps when we got home. I can't wait for Girls Camp this week! It's going to be at the same location.Yes, Hyrum was wearing a life jacket, but because it was so big he couldn't even sit down, so Brett just kept him close.
