Can't Help it. . .
Some boys just can't help being stinkin' adorable!
Object #1. . . Pant-less wonder posing on our blue wall.
Object #2
Today during church Hyrum walked out of our pew and handed his etch-a-sketch to the elderly man behind us and said, "Grandpa, help.". . . the man giggled a little and tried to help him draw something on the etch-a-sketch. Evidently he wasn't doing the right thing, because Hyrum took it back and walked to the next pew down, to another elderly man and said, "another Grandpa, help!" Brett and I were cracking up!

Teeth, Hair, and Mormon Crack!
This has been an interesting week. Here's the story in pictures:
1. For the past month I've had a horrible haircut. . .I don't think anyone's noticed because I've been disguising it with clips, bobbi's, and headbands (accessories save the day!) So, for your viewing disgust here is a shot of the butchering incident. . . taken moments before I went to the salon to have 5 inches taken off. . . yes pretty sad about that since I've been growing it out for over a year, but it had to be done. . . goodbye mullet, I will not miss you.
2. We had our regular 6 month dental cleaning and checkup. It was a bad one for us. I am an oral hygiene nazi. I HATE going to sleep without a good flossing, brush regularly, etc. but for some reason my teeth are just soft and I tend to have problems. I have managed to go w/o cavities for a couple of years, until this week- I have two:(. Brett on the other hand has nice strong teeth, seems to never have problems, while he on the other hand, may have flossed 5 times since we've been married:). This time I finally got the last laugh: he had one small cavity and . . . LOST A TOOTH!!! They had to pull one of his molars out! Our dentist says that his molar was amazing, because it was so large and had all 4 full roots. I guess that excites dentists. Anyway, the Dentist kept his tooth to show his colleagues. (Hopefully, he will reimburse whatever Brett would have made from the Tooth Fairy)
3. My Prenatal vitamins ran out, so I decided to go back to the good old One-A-Day. Looking through the selection at the store I saw one that was a Metabolism Booster and who doesn't want a little extra fat fighter? So, of course I put it in the cart. Well today at lunch I popped in the vitamin and about a half hour later I became a little high. . . okay a lotta high. I've been pretty tired lately, but 'somehow' I had a big burst of energy. The boys and I cleaned the basement, wrestled, ran around the house, raced. My energy seemed to escalate as the day went on. I told Brett about my crazy energy and he looked at my vitamins and informed me that there was an equivalent amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee or 2-3 Mt. Dew!(As a non-caffeine drinker that's a lot) I went to a Pampered Chef party tonight and it had gotten to the point where I literally could not sit down. I stood in the back and alternated pacing and just swaying back and forth. Really, it was ridiculous. . .I was talking fast and the other women were asking me if I was ok? Of course I had to explain my situation - kind of embarrassing. When I got home I did a few laps up and down the stairs, cleaned up, and then sat down to watch American Idol and was still having a hard time sitting without shaking my legs. Finally at about 10 it started to wear off and I could sit normal. Conclusion: Don't do drugs. Don't do One-A-Day with Metabolism Boost. The end

Innocent Mess
The other day I was making some rolls, and while the dough was rising I was working on laundry. I left the flour on the counter so that I could kneed the dough out when it was ready. Noah was taking a nap and Hyrum was playing with play-do at the table. . . life was calm and good. I came out of the laundry room to find Hyrum standing on a chair pushed up to the counter, with flour ALL over the kitchen floor, counters, cabinets, etc. My initial reaction was serious frustration at Hyrum. It took me a moment to process how to best handle the situation. . .then he turned and saw me. He had a big innocent smile on his excited face and he exclaimed; "Mom, look! Hyrum make dust! Look! Look!" as he clapped the dust in his hands and then tried to catch it. He was so proud of himself for his discovery. My heart melted and my punishment plan changed slightly. . .I first let him show me how he made the dust and praised him for his discovery, but then I told him why it was not a good idea to make dust this way. We made dust for a little bit and then we both cleaned it all up together. Sometimes it's just so hard to be mad at such innocence. . . now if it happens again - I don't think it will be so hard:)

ONE! - ONE! - ONE!
I can't believe that our handsome, funny, walking, hugging, kissing, teething, wrestling, laughing, flirting little baby boy is now ONE YEAR OLD!!!
We had his birthday party on Saturday, and were SO happy to have so much family there to celebrate with us!
Instead of a cake I made cake balls covered in chocolate. It was my first time making them and they turned out delicious. . . they are now a new family favorite dessert.
For entertainment:
Basement=Rockband
Spare Room=Ball room (basically a lot of balls, balloons, and forts for the too-young-to-rock)
I think this picture sums the day up:
We love Noah so much and his cute little personality. He and Hyrum are great little buddies. . . when they're not killing each other:)

I love Brett. . . he gets a hint
About 3 weeks ago I said: "This Valentines Day I don't want flowers I want an edible bouquet."
Brett, thank you for always getting my hints. I love you oodles and poodles! !
In other news. I have two very sick boys. Both have very sad sounding coughs and Hyrum's temperature has been going off and on for the past 4 days up to 102.5! My poor babies. Luckily they still manage to be cute.Hyrum wanted to feed Noah earlier this week. This is him saying: "Noah. Ahhhhh. Eat it!" At first he liked feeding him, but eventually he got really frustrated when Noah wouldn't open his mouth or when he'd spit it out. . . I know exactly how he feels.
A lot of times when we open the fridge Noah comes running. This time it was during a diaper changing, and off he went.
